Collector Con continues Tabletop Role Playing Games this year in Penrith and Newcastle! The gaming tables will be back with our team of experienced Games Masters sharing their skills throughout each day, including legendary #dungeonsanddragons sessions along with other exciting systems like #callofcthulhu and #marvelsuperheroes

I am delighted to be trying my hand at a whole new #TTRPG, and running a fim noir style mini-campaign over the five Penrith games with the new #daggerheart system, and set in the infamous city of Baldurs Gate!

Games are open to everyone - those who wants to try their hand at Tabletop Role-Playing Games AND for seasoned players keen to connect, welcome new players to tables and make new friends while creating memorable stories together.

Adults & Teens D&D at Penrith City Library

What a year for #roleplayexperience at Penrith City Libraries!

It’s been sincerely gratifying to bring #roleplayinggames and #dungeonsanddragons to our community from 2018-2026. Last year the Library team worked with #RPX to run a fun mini-campaign in support of #Pride month for adults over June-July, and this year we ran a sold out series of sessions for teens aged 12-16 in Term 1, teaching the rules and basics of the tabletop Role Playing Game experience to Adults long interested in the activity; including a special One-Shot in June to celebrate Pride month and bring the community together. I look forward to new gaming possibilities together for 2025 and beyond. that our partnership on FEB & MAR one-shot Introduction games for adults are now sold out!

To ask about future gaming possibilities, contact Penrith City Library’s team for information on 4732 7891 or libmarketing@penrith.city

Bija Yoga

Bija Yoga brings connection and life to Western Sydney’s community through its ethos, its words, and its practice. I am delighted to work with founder Keith Kempis and the teachers of the studio to bring the power of story to its members through Role Play Experience’s activities.

I have been deeply grateful over the years to hvae been invited to lead the Storytelling workshops in support of four groups of Bija Yoga teacher trainees. The workshop engages new yoga teachers with the basic elements of the story template, The Hero’s Journey, that can be applied to their understanding of the narrative within The Bhagavad Gita. The workshop also provided techniques to help teachers recognise that they - and their students - are the Heroes of their own journey, and to apply the lessons when nurturing students in their own classes.

It is a blessing to take part in the growth of Bija Yoga’s teachers, in addition to the many activities the studio offers its members and the wider community.

What People Are Saying

“Ian from Role Play Experiences gave our regular group of DnD players a FANTASTIC experience. It was a delight to be able to play as one whole group with a polished and knowledgeable DM. Ian took a lot of time making our experience unique and ensuring we all got our own individual moments and experience. As a new DM myself I was able to learn a lot from Ian’s experience. This was truly a special day our party will remember for a long time. Thanks role play experience!”

— Daniel Bourke, gamer, One-Shot private game group

“Today's game was awesome, great players and a tremendous DM! I loved the full day game, it was more relaxed than the short games and I was able to immerse myself in the story more (although i love the half day games too). Ian, I loved the way you guided us through the adventure, I look forward to playing with you as DM again.”

— @tiamara, gamer, Collector Con Penrith

“Ian is an experienced facilitator who creates a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for teens. Beyond his extensive D&D gaming experience Ian’s workshops focus on developing group teamwork, building fun, positive and respectful relationships between players, encouraging players to be imaginative, creative, bold and confident with D&D storytelling. We commend Ian Zammit on development of fun, engaging and successful Dungeons and Dragons programs and would happily recommend his service to others.”

— Lorinda Curnow, Children's Programs Librarian, Penrith City Library

“Ian was a crazy great DM despite running a game outside his usual ruleset knowledge and having to deal with a party that doesn't necessarily know or play by the rules themselves. Ian was able to get me to think like the character in the setting and encouraged me to play the character, rather than the rules.”

— Matthew Palmer, player, role-playing gamer’s group in SouthWest Sydney
