The Yoga of Myth and Storytelling
It is wonderful when you can work with friends on something vital, and also meets both your visions!
This weekend, on behalf of Role Play Experience, I have been invited back to Bija Yoga’s second program of teacher training, and share the workshop on “The Yoga of Myth and Storytelling”, the practice run by the deeply insightful and warmly welcoming yogi, school friend Keith Kempis.

Rethinking the One-Shot Game
Why do we need to prepare for one-shot games differently than long term campaigns? Enjoyable experiences from playing a one-shot game lead to changing how I developed and ran my own games more efficiently and with greater success.
Creative influences: Fighting Fantasy
Over time, the most interesting Fighting Fantasy books for me were no longer the ones about getting the most magical items in the right order to “win” the adventure. I became much more interested in the side stories and amazing array of characters met along the way, and if the pulling together of a story lead to a satisfying conclusion fo the narrative. I started to understand the adage, “It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end.”
